Arpan has celebrated the Onam, the national festival of Kerala with variety of cultural programs ensuring the traditional value and meaning of Onam is well conveyed to the non-resident Keralites and especially to the new generation. By varying the routine structure of the celebration, Arpan held it with a different dimension and provided the equal role to both the members' family and guests.

Celebrations has officially inaugurated by Mrs.Shobha H.Nair by lighting up the traditional lamp. The program committee of the Onam celebration headed by Sajeevan.C and master of ceremony Mrs. Manju Sreenath were forming a homely atmosphere for the attendees by an informal structure.

Public Relations Officer of Arpan voiced the Onam message of Arpan, where he stressed the importance of holding celebrations by sharing the historical and memorable experiences with out any modern interpretations. That is the duty of every Keralites to ensure their contribution to national integrity and convey the same to new generations. President M.R. Sreenath has welcomed and General Secretary K. Nagarajan presented the vote of thanks.

Decorating the floor with flowers (pookkalam) in connection with traditional custom of Onam was managed by Mrs. Sheeja Sajeevan, Latha Mahadevan, Sheela Suresh and Sujatha Mohandas and it has gained the whole hearted appreciation from the members. K. Mahadevan presented the musical experience with his flout.

Shilpa Sanjeev, Saranya Mohandas, Deepthi Das, Surabhi Sivadas, Niveditha Nagaraj, Swetha Dilip Kumar, Sidharth Das, Nikhil Nagaraj and Aroma-Athira Satheesh performed the variety of dances and songs and made it the day of children. The King, Mahabali staged by Akhil Devraj and the pulikkali group by Sreerag, George Varghese, Nandu Sajeevan and Sarath Mohandas were colored the event.

Arpan Foundation Program:
Summer Session for Indian Youths.

Arpan, the well known Indian organization of Kuwaiti residents has conducted Arpan Foundation Program for selected Indian Students in Kuwait.

In chain with its variety program performance, Arpan has come forward to provide the stage for six days with a well known Indian trainer and Excel Graduate of Junior Chamber International, USA Mr.T.K.Chandrasekaran, the director Institute of Human Resources Management (IHRM).

Selected participants from the special scrutinizing team has been served with tips and sessions on effective communication, goal setting, time management, managing change, Memory Efficiency, Creative thinking, decision making, leadership qualities, concept of personality etc. The whole session was an interactive process with right mixture of classes, games, mind-skill exercises and skill development practices.

AFP has inaugurated by Mr. M. R. Sreenath, the president of Arpan at Indian Community School, Khaitan. The inaugural function was addressed by T.K.Chandrasekaran of IHRM, P.Dileep Kumar the coordinator for AFP, K. Nagarajan the Gen.Secretary and C.Vijayakumar.

Students were presented with Certificates and Student Study Materials by Arpan officials and the training team members T.K.Chandrasekaran, B. Muthukumaran and Shanthi Ramesh were honored with mementos by K. Mahadevan, Mohandas Edappal and P.A. Menon respectively at the conclusion ceremony.

All participants had performed their talents to the invited guests and parents and group representatives participants were expressed their vision and experience in connection with the conclusion program.

Both Arpan officials and the society members made their appreciation to Mr.P. Dilip Kumar , the whole and sole of the show for his initiation and dedication to execute AFP.
